While his owners the Barker family make breakfast, Siggy the dachshund is having a dream. As he twists and turns, no-one knows he’s in the midst of the most wonderful adventure.

This is a beautifully illustrated picture book about a sausage dog who dreams of playing football in the FA Cup Final. The story is delightful and includes a variety of dog type as footballers, adding a touch of diversity to the story. Vivien Sarkany’s illustrations really bring the book to life with imaginative and clever scenes in glorious colour.

I was offered a free copy of this book by Rowanvale Books in return for an honest review, and also bought a copy of the kindle version. However, I’d recommend going for the paperback as the quality of the drawings is a bit lost on E-readers.
